If your kids end up with a mountain of Easter eggs, like ours often do, try using some of that chocolate in one of these recipes. Here are my top 10 ways to use up leftover Easter eggs.

10 ways to use up leftover Easter eggs. If your kids got 5 million Easter eggs, like ours often do, why not use some up in one of these chocolatey recipes!Leftover Easter eggs?

Leftover?

Is there really such a thing?

Even though I plan meals and grocery shop in orderly fashion (yes, I plan a week ahead and write my shopping list by aisle), I deliberately abandon that control when it comes to Easter.

Nope.

I just toss a bunch of Easter eggs into the trolley and sort them later.

Why? Because when I do sort them, I secretly hope there will be at least two unclaimed eggs I can stash in the fridge until they reach crunchy perfection, then share with Chris in front of the TV—before Easter even arrives!

Such a rebel, I know.

So while there are rarely leftover eggs in our house (I once bought Easter eggs for others, ate them all while pregnant with Gracey, and had to replace the lot), I appreciate that not everyone transforms into a chocolate fiend. If you do end up with extra chocolate, try one of these recipes.

Flourless Chocolate Cherry Cake – ideal for dark chocolate, though regular chocolate works just as well.

Mexican Hot Chocolate Breakfast Smoothie – a warming, flavourful way to start the day.

Chocolate Caramel Mug Cake – quick, single-serve indulgence filled with caramel sweets.

White Chocolate Cherry Cups – perfect for white chocolate eggs and bite-sized treats.

Chocolate Coconut Crunch Bars – old-school, chewy, crunchy and packed with chocolate.

Bottom of the Chocolate Box Brownies – a fantastic way to use mixed chocolates from quality selection boxes.

Chocolate Peanut Nougat – turn leftover eggs into a chewy, homemade sweet.

Ferrero Rocher Brownies – rich, nutty and indulgent. (Full disclosure: I’d probably buy Ferrero Rochers just to make these because they rarely last long here.)

White Chocolate Coconut Cashew Hot Smoothie – a comforting, creamy hot smoothie that works wonderfully with white chocolate.

Berry Streusel Bars with White Chocolate Custard Dip – a crunchy, fruity bar served with a silky white chocolate custard that’s absolutely delicious.

I hope you enjoy these 10 ways to use up leftover Easter eggs and that your Easter is full of chocolatey goodness. Happy baking and indulging!
